Peter Laurenson, photographer, author, tramper and climber and editor of FMC’s Backcountry magazine, will be giving a presentation about his new book, AOTEAROA LIGHT: Moments of wonder and realisation in New Zealand wilderness.  The book takes readers on a journey through the wondrous and varied landscapes of Aotearoa / New Zealand’s wilderness, through photographs that catch the light, and experiences and reflections that explore our role within Earth’s connected ecosystem.

Auckland Tramping Club is extending a warm invitation to all members of other Auckland-based tramping and associated clubs. The presentation will be held at Remuera Bowling Club, from 7.30 p.m. on 17th September.   Access is via the driveway between 3 and 5A Dromorne Rd (off Market Road), Remuera and there’s parking available along the driveway and behind the bowling club building.

During the past 30 years Peter has tramped, climbed and photographed extensively throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. The website www.occasionalclimber.co.nz showcases his mountain and travel adventures.
