Location:
This is an easy urban walk with a sprinkling of hilly sections, about 4 hours walking. It includes a track through Tuff Crater - named for the ash deposits, remains of a volcano.

Cost: Free - no bus.
Gear: please read What to take on a tramp and the link there to Gear Lists. Trail runners will be the best footwear for this - a mixture of some slippery parts and some walking on hard surfaces is likely.
How to get to the start: meet at The Strand, Takapuna. MUATC members will need to catch a bus or car pool - sorry - we can't provide a pick-up.
