Sunday 17th August 8am
Enjoy walking through regenerating native bush with plenty of native birds, then onto beach sand (and some boulders) around to Hatfield's beach. Continue to Alice Eaves Bush where we will enjoy the efforts of a very successful restoration project. Enjoy a great view of Orewa and then onto the pick up just outside Kensington Park
Expect to walk approximately 5 hours, with slippery surfaces, a few short but steep climbs. The highest point being 156 metres, rewarded with epic views!
Trail or boots shoes would be fine for walking, but prepare for a bit of mud on the hill tracks.
PLEASE clean your gear to protect Kauri, and it helps the clean-up if you have clean shoes for the drive back.
