Karamatura Track - Sunday 28 May

With Kauri dieback and Cyclone Gabrielle there are but a few tracks opened in the Waitakeres at present, but we have found one for us that should give you a little bit of a workout. From the Karamatura car park we will head up the Karamatura Track to as far as the Donald MacLean Track and then a turn around back to the bus, you can expect a few stairs for sure. As the Donald Maclean track is closed at the time of planning this trip, if it is opened by the time, we get there we will press on a little further.
PLEASE ENSURE YOUR GEAR IS CLEAN BEFORE (footwear, poles, bags, anything that might come into contact with the ground) TO PROTECT THE KAURI AND OTHER SPECIES AND HAVE CLEAN FOOTWEAR FOR AFTER THE TRAMP AND THOROUGHLY CLEAN YOUR GEAR WHEN YOU GET HOME!!! AND A CHANGE OF CLEAN FOOTWEAR FOR AFTER PLEASE!
