South Piha - Waitakere Ranges - fit teen friendly - CANCELLED

  • 13 Feb 2021
  • 9:00 AM

For variety, we will do this day trip Saturday.

We will start from the Piha beach carpark on Seaview Rd and walk to the Tasman Lookout Track and go exploring further up the South Piha tracks and visit the spectacular Blow Hole also.   If still time, we will head up the Northern end of Piha, Te Waha Point and if the low tide at 6am is still waining enough.  Finally, down to the beach and back to the cars.

We may stop at the Piha Store on the way back or during the tramp for a yummy Ice cream etc.

*  Members please pop the organiser a text to let know you are attending.
Fit newbie, non-members please phone to register and assess suitability.

Very important, PLEASE ensure all your gear is VERY clean, as Kitekite Falls and Piha are Kauri'd areas, so as always ensure you thoroughly clean your gear afterwards as there is Dieback in this area!!   And please ensure you have spare footwear for your car after, so no dirt is transferred!!!

Please bring your own hand sanitiser just in case we need to stop somewhere along the way or to be used at boot stations.

Please if you are unwell, cold or flu type symptoms, please stay away.

** Non-members:  Please phone the organiser to check suitability of the tramp
