Maraetai - Beachlands - South Auckland

Location:  8.00am  1-7 The Strand, Takapuna (outside Seven Hills Cafe)
                     8.15am Marewa Road, Greenlane. On road, by where it says NZ Tertiary College - opposite the McDonalds exit.

Join us for a coastal walk along this spectacular coastline. We’ll start at Beachlands and work our way through to Maraetai, and then continue south making the most of the low tide around 9.58am.

The shorter distance group will return to the bus at Beachlands, while the distance party will continue to Duder Coastal Reserve and the bus will pick them up here.

Distance tramp is up to 20 km on the flat, but expect slippery rocks and uneven surfaces. Bring a camera to capture this very scenic coastal area of Auckland, plus a little cash for an ice cream treat at the Maraetei.

If joining us for this event, as with all tramps, please ensure that all your gear, especially footwear is scrupulously clean before and cleaned after, especially as there are Kauri in the area.  Please bring a clean change of footwear for the return trip to get into good regular after tramping habits.

    There will be a COVID-19 QR code available for scanning
