Tararuas Trip Photo Evening

Come along and see the photos and hear about the adventures from Kevin Osten and Chris Peard on the recent Tararuas Trip.

The Tararuas lived up to their fierce reputation as the home of tramping and provided a great experience for everyone on the trip.

• Spectacular views from the Tararuas main range: Mt Holdsworth to Angle Knob
• Successful hunt for the long lost remains of Angle Knob Hut blown off the tops in 1980 (previously visited in Dec 2011!)

• A night in gale force winds at Jumbo Hut
• Crossing the main range over to Mt Holdsworth in 100K winds  
• River crossing over the Waiohine River to visit historic Sayer Hut built in 1909

Everyone is welcome.  The social evenings are a great way of connecting, and staying in touch with all your NSTC tramping friends.

Social evenings are held on the last Wednesday of every second month.

A light supper is provided.
