Where:      Waiake Beach, Torbay.   To the right of the toilet block, under the very large Norfolk Pines.

Whether you are an experienced tramper or a novice newbie looking to join a really friendly, very well established, organised club with a variety of ages, this is the day for you! We'll have different group distances to suit different fitness as usual.

We'll start very promptly at 8am to catch the low tide that was about 6.50am and head north around on the foreshore past pretty Winstone's Cove and through to Long Bay, and head up the headland to take in a few of the very scenic cliff top tracks before returning via different paths along the stream and back to Waiake Beach for a relaxing, cooling swim on the high tide, ice cream or coffee (cafe across the road) and socialising.

Please note the foreshore will be slippery and uneven.    Expect to walk approximately 4-5 hours.
Please bring: swimming gear, ample food and water and day pack.   Comfortable trail shoes or running shoes you don't mind getting dirty will be ideal.

We will have a bbq afterwards, so have a chilly bin stowed in your car ready with whatever treats you may like to really make a day of it.

If joining us for this event, as with all tramps, please ensure that all your gear, especially footwear is scrupulously clean before and cleaned after.

And bring a change of footwear for after as we will be going through a Kauri'd area.

***   Please be considerate of beach go'ers and any sailing events and park up Ellangowan Road or up from the beach up Beach Road.   Please carpool where possible.
