Tawharanui, North Auckland

The Tawharanui peninsula is a pest-free habitat, so treasured native species like bellbirds, whiteheads, geckos and kiwi thrive here.

The park has multiple tracks of varying length, but times will be flexible depending on how many photos of birds you want to take. If the weather is nice and sunny, you can go for a dip afterwards, so make sure you bring your togs.
