DESCRIPTION:https://www.nstc.org.nz/event-2609142\n\nSorry - Trip has had to be cancelled. \n  The track commences at the top of the Wairere Falls and heads north. We have found that 4 – 5 hours per day of clearing the track is the most productive. The only tools required are hedge clippers\, a pruning saw and loppers. All you will need to bring is hedge clippers. Most of the vegetation to be cleared is small ferns and grasses under the canopy of trees and larger ferns ( Pongas )\n\n  Even if you can only manage a couple of hours you are welcome to come along and participate with the industrious team. In the way of accommodation you will need to bring a tent\, 2 lunches and 1 dinner. We have located an excellent campsite which is adjacent to water. A good turnout will see several kilometres of track cleared.\n  The bus will leave from the parking area at the end of Como Street at 8.00am on Saturday 9 September for the 2 hour drive to the parking area at the bottom of Wairere Falls. We will return to Como Street by 4-5 pm on Sunday 10th September.
