DESCRIPTION:https://www.nstc.org.nz/event-2609135\n\nRetrace the steps of the Club’s foundation members with the traditional annual trip. Flexibility is the plan. Trek around the Island or climb up to the summit. \n  This year there is no option doing part of Motutapu Island as it is closed to the public until further notice due to severe weather damage.\n  Bring a headlamp or torch in case you visit the supercool Lava Caves near the summit.  Also have ample food and water\, as it's usually about 4 degrees warmer on this volcanic island.\n  The North Shore Marathon will be "run" on foothpaths alongside Lake Road between the Takapuna shops and Takapuna Grammar.  Although no roads will be closed\, you should allow extra time to get to Devonport in case of traffic congestion.
