How to Join

New members are always welcome.  Simply enjoy two qualifying club trips and you can apply for membership.  The qualifying trips most often are typical Sunday day trips which last for approximately 5-6 hrs (or longer in summer).

Have the form signed by  your trip leaders and seconded by a committee member.  Forward it to the Membership Secretary.  The membership fees are shown below and are payable with your application.  Membership includes:

• The company of people who share a passion for the outdoors
• Newsletter - subscription to the club newsletter
• FMC - membership of the Federated Mountain Clubs which provides you with the FMC quarterly magazine, and a FMC card with discounts DOC Annual Hut pass, maps, gear and books etc (see FMC website for details).
  
• Reduced Trip Fees - avoid the surcharge paid by non‐members
  
• Priority Trip Bookings - members have priority ahead of non‐members for trips with limited places
• Courses - a 50% subsidy from the club for completed Mountain Safety Courses
• Gear - members may borrow club gear such as packs, tents, cookers, etc for club trips from the Gear Officer.  Gear may be hired for non‐club trips for a nominal amount
  
• Club Library - members may borrow books from the large club library

Family     $45.00  ( parents & junior children)
Ordinary  $45.00   ( 18 yrs or older)
Junior      $25.00   (under 18 & not working)
