As a tramping
club, on a day trip, expect to walk for 5 or more hours on a variety of
uneven terrains.
It is normal on a day trip to have 3 different parties to cater for
people of different abilities and speeds.
NOTE - Meet at trip departure point 15 minutes before depart time.

8 August 2010 - MOUMOUKAI VALLEY -
Hunua Ranges
Walk the Pukapuka Track along the ridge separating
Mangatawhiri and Mangatangi water reservoir catchments. Leafy beech
groves and nice views of the Mangatangi dam.

15 August 2010 - TITIRANGI -PARAU -
HUIA - Waitakere
A day out in the Southern Waitakeres. Great views
of the Manukau Habour. Good distance party trip. Also medium and slower
trips.

22 August 2010 - HAKARIMATA WALKWAY - Waikato
This walkway traverses the crest of the hills to
the west of Waikato River. It features kauri and rimu groves, a pa site
and good views. After the walk we'll visit the Waingaro Hot Springs
Ngaruawahia so please bring bathing gear and $12 entrance fee. You may
want to bring a book to enjoy if you don't want to soak in the warm
water. This tramp is not suitable for beginners.
Please note the early start & (probably) later finish.

25 August Social
Evening – at Green Coast.
Come along to a social evening with a difference. Two years ago we
went to the Green Coast outdoor store in Milford (Kitchener Rd) to have
a look at packs and tents and various other things. This month we return
there to see the very latest in mapping software, GPS and navigational
equipment. There will be someone there to present the equipment to you
and you will be able to ask questions. Tramping club members are
entitled to a discount.

29 August 2010 - CITY WALK -
Auckland
Taking in part of 'Coast to Coast' and the popular
'7 Volcanoes' this will include the once only opportunity to walk the
new Newmarket Viaduct. We will be including parts of Albert Park ,the
Domain, Mounts Hobson, St John, Eden and One Tree Hill. LTSA propose
that the viaduct walk will start near St Marks Road Remuera and be open
to the public between 9am and noon. Our final route will depend on
numbers and LTSA arrangements.

5 September 2010 - TE ARAROA WALKWAY
- Clevedon
Enjoy this relatively new part of the walkway.
Provisional arrangements are to begin and end by the quarry at the end
of Kimpton's Road Clevedon, proceed to the Clevedon Lookout then down to
Camp Sladdin and return. Approximately 4 hours excluding lunch.

Regional Park
Enjoy picturesque vistas across the Oruawharo
River & beyond as you walk through rolling farmland, re-generating
forest over mostly well formed tracks, in a historic area. Passing by
numerous Pa sites.

26 September 2010 - WAITAKERE -
Matuku Reserve Jonkers Road
Situated high up in the hills between Waitakere
Village and Bethells Beach is Forest and Birds second largest reserve of
120 hectares of bush and swampland.Three walking tracks that include
going under a waterfall,great elevated views toward Bethells and New
Zealand's funniest dunny! Tramp for around 3 hours inclusive of lunch
then a five minute drive around to the end of Horseman Road for an out
and back 2 hour tramp through Goldies Bush
