Come along to your friendly tramping club's November social night . You will be treated to a presentation by Trish Jenner, who in May this year travelled to the South Island along with a group of seasoned NSTC members to walk the Milford in the off season. This tramp was followed by the Greenstone, a lesser known track in the Queenstown area which many trampers do after the Routeburn. Marvellous weather and empty tracks meant that Trish and co. enjoyed a wonderful tramping experience that didn't cost the earth. Come along and see for yourself! A tasty supper will follow, so come and enjoy the company of fellow trampers.

See you there,  Elizabeth and Pam

What is required to be an organiser:
The most important aspect is to plan the tramping route. You can ask someone familiar with the area to assist in planning the tramping party routes.

Check with the booking officer for drivers and arrange the parties and leaders to suit.

Arrange the bus to be converted over to a sleeper if required and any gear (tents etc.) loaded.

Generally just coordinate everyone and the bus movement for the duration of the trip.

And you get a free trip for being the organiser.
